Cycle rally against tamil genocide began in the United Kingdom on the 12th is calling on the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), at its 61st session, to initiate an independent international investigation into the planned and systematic genocide of the Eelam Tamils carried out by the Sinhala-majoritarian Sri Lankan state. The rally also emphasizes that Tamil Eelam is the permanent solution for the Tamil people.
After traveling through the Netherlands and Belgium, participants submitted a petition to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Luxembourg. The rally then continued via the European Court of Justice and is currently proceeding through Germany.
Todayās ride began at 8:00 a.m. in Dillingen. After submitting a petition to the Mayor of Saarbrücken, the cyclists reached Landau at 6:30 p.m.
The rally will travel toward Karlsruhe tomorrow.
