Maveerar Naal 2024: Commemoration of the Maveerarkal

On November 27, 2024, Tamils around the world observed Maveerar Naal, the Day of Heroes, to honor men and women who gave their lives for the freedom and rights of the Tamil people. In every country tamils gathered to remember the sacrifices of the Tamil Tigers (LTTE), with ceremonies such as lighting lamps and laying flowers.

This day was also a moment to renew our vows to continue the ideals of justice, equality, and freedom. Maveerar Naal reminded us of the strength of our community and the unforgettable struggle of our heroes, whose sacrifices live on in the ongoing fight for a just future.
