Sri Lanka's embargo of medicines and related supplies to the Vanni region creates a humanitarian catastrophe for Tamils. Severe shortage of medicines in the Vanni region creates an alarming number of deaths amongst Tamil civilians. This is undeniably an act of genocide by the Sri Lankan state as it was a deliberate policy designed to kill a large number of Tamils with the aim of eliminating the Tamil nation.
