May 18 - Mullivaikkal Genocide - 11.05.2009

Sri Lanka continues to attack the no fire zone in Mullivaikkal and Vadduvaakal with heavy weapons. 130,000 civilians were abandoned from homes to seek refuge in bunkers and shelters. The number of fatalities continues to rise due to a lack of medication. Death toll increased by 3,200 since the evening of the 10th.
