A Song for Black Day

This song is dedicated to Black Day for Eelam Tamils in Tamil Eelam, Sri Lanka's so-called Independence Day, which is a day of grief for Eelam Tamils in Tamil Eelam.

This marks not freedom nor independence, but the day British rule was handed over to a Sinhala-Buddhist state that has opposed and marginalized Eelam Tamils ever since.

From the Sinhala Only Act to state-sponsored pogroms and Tamil genocide, the 4th of February symbolizes the beginning of our struggle for justice and self-determination.

We’ll be releasing this song soon to reflect on this dark yet painful day. Stay tuned.
